Fenix LD20 to LD10

I bought the LD10 here in Denmark and a LD20 body at Lighthound. They have both the LD10 and LD20 body for $12.99.

I don't have one yet, but be aware that it will probably not produce the same output level on one battery as two.

low to high should be about the same, but turbo is alot brighter on 2 cells (ie 2.4 - 3 V).

1 cell is a lot nicer to EDC, but 2 cell is better performance.
I have an LD20 even though I already have an L1D (older model). THe changes are mostly cosmetic, but I do really like the new models. They don't tailstand well anymore and I wish they still came in Olive/natural, but the new Fenixes are very nice...

I just have to get mine open so I can neutralize it (Q3 5A cree mod).

I have both the Ld10 and LD20 and the LD10 is plenty of light for me. I EDC the LD10 and use the LD20 (wifes) at home or on the road. Yes, it is not as bright with one AA but it is still very bright and it does just fine for me.

If you want to make it a PD20, all you need is the body ant tailcap of the PD20.

The L1D, L2D, P2D, L1T V2.0, L2T V2.0, LD20, and PD20 all have compatible bodies. The CR123 models have a different talicap because of the wider battery.

Yes. Probably the best way to go.

Yes, not a problem. Also AA litihium at 1.5V. But not 14500 (From selfbuilt: On 14500 Li-ion, you loose all the low modes initially, as the light runs in direct drive from max output until it hits the prescribed lower mode output level. At that point, it then switches into regulation - but only briefly, as the battery is typically almost exhausted by then.)

Great! The users manual doesn´t say anything about 1.2V batteries. I´m going to buy a charger and 2500 mAh batteries. Hope they will last a bit longer than standard batteries.

A good rechargeable battery will last longer thatn alkaline batteries. This is because rechargeable batteries can take the higher drain needed by the lights and not drop as much as alkalines current and capacity wise.
