Hi,

i have a FF3 with a FluPic that will not work propper. Can´t change UI anymore.
Got a new FluPic from Goldserve, but i lost it .....

Now i think about a mod to a 2 Stage LE with a Nexgen 750 and a "2-stage switch with Hex L key"

I will also add a SSC P4 Led.

Will all that fin in the FF3 head? Or do i need the copper head the shoppe is selling?

Can i run the Nexgen 750 with rechargeable cells from AW with 3,6V ?

Lots of questions, i know.

Can all that be done be a Modding newbie?

regards, Alex

I believe you'll need to acquire the FF-I/FF-II copper collar from The Shoppe. That collar on the FF-III is treaded if memory serves. I don't believe a sammy/circuit will fit in there too nicely.

there is a threaded copper ring that allows it to use a standard sandwich as i understand it. i have one of those rings that i dont think i am willing to give up at this time. not sure if the shoppe sells a similar item. can take pics if needed.

My FF3 Flupic is also dysfunctional. cannot change modes. the present mode only allows for low and turbo. no middle means when light gets hot, have to turn it off. I love the FF3. but I have lost faith in Flupic. 3/3 of my lights with Flupic failed to function properly at one point (FF3, DRaco and Jil Intelli). I heard somewhere that the board can be "reset." I havent had time to poke around but figured i'd piggyback onto your thread...

Not good news if there is a problem with the Flupic. I really like the interface and really appreciate the versatility the Flupic offers.

Alex, why don't you see if Kevin will send you another, he has several extra now.

I agree with the flupics going bad, I had that happen to me a year after I purchased my FF3 wouldn't switch modes, I got a another flupic from Kevin, and its been over a year, no problems yet.

this screws in a FFIII. I have no ff2 or sandwich to actually test it. I have 8 flupic lights and no problems at all. hope it stays that way cause i like em.

The shoppe doesn't carry any of the FF3 parts and the copper ring you are referring is not available at the Shoppe.
