fivemega G4D26 beamshot with AW softstart

I think I have the ulimate pocketable setup now.
A Leef 2x18650 host, Fivemegas G4 socket and AWs tailcap softstart.
I started with FMs 1794 bulb socket, but it was a custom bulb and had issues with my freshly charged batteries.
I was happy to see the G4 socket available and got one with the WA1111 bulb.
This setup worked great with AWs protected batteries without the soft start, but would not light with Tenergys.

With the softstart, the Tenergys work perfect.

From off to high takes about 2 full seconds to crank up to full brightness.
While it is not quite an M6, it is close enough for me, considering the more compact package, cheaper bulbs and rechargable batts.:thumbsup:lovecpf

I see them.

I'm running a 2 x 18650 FM body with AW Li-ion protected, AW softstart and FM1794 with LOP. Fantastic.

I've got the WA1111 and socket, but just haven't got around to changing it out.

Also have a M4, bored to take 2 x 18650 with teh AW soft start. I'm running a stock bulb and really need to check which one it is, while I haven't run them side by side I think the 1794 is brighter - so I must be running the lower of the two SF bulbs.

The 1794 is an amazing bulb, but very touchy with two fully charged AW 18670s. I instaflashed 3. needs the soft start.
I also found that standard protected batts work well with the soft start.

Yep, it is an amazing bulb......I have been using it in a FM 2xC body, 2x AW C cells and FM D26 drop-in.....the switch is the original that comes with the body......it work fine without any problems or the need for a soft start switch. In some ways it is a better performer than the WA1111 in the FM G4 D26 drop-in.....check out the incan beamshots in my sig line.
