Sold off most of my DX lights, now only left with Jet I MkII Jet II Pro, Jet III Pro ST, one home modded 15W Xenon, 30mW green laser and an Aurora WF-600.

Oh for our night walk we went under a few barricades across small side roads & ventured further in off the beaten track as well to get to where the fire-flies were frolicking. :devil:

err... off topic.. where are there fireflies in sg?

Go to http://www.map.gov.sg/StreetMap/ and key in Neo Tiew Road. If I remember correctly it should be either along Jalan Gemala 2 or 3 off Neo Tiew Road. Both roads are blocked off by barricades and only accessible by foot although you may be able to park your vehicle at the barricade. You have to walk in towards nearly the end of one of these unlit lanes (there should be some markings on the ground at the end of the road something like an 'X' or 'H' I think) then turn off into a path on the left that runs along a drain and railings about 100-200m in and should be able to see the fire-flies in the trees and bushes on both sides of the drain. Be careful when walking in though.

just curious this walk, how bright a torchlight is allowed to bring?

Any brightness so long as not brighter than the sun should be ok, haha.

which part of lim chukang and kranji?

i was at kranji dam to test light but a bit apprehensive when the coast guard shined their searchlight at me.

From Lim Chu Kang Rd x Neo TIew Road in towards Bollywood Veggies, BBC Kranji station and D'Kranji Resort area.

Will try to join you guys on the upcoming outing on the 9th but also depends on work schedule, etc.

sorry. unable to find the map to the entrance of marsiling dungeon. but i heard if you scout along a few metres to the beach.. you should be able to find it.
