It doesn't seem there's a specific place to introduce myself so... hello everybody .

I'll try to focus my question beyond the typical I need a small brigth flashlight:

As an engineer working in a factory and being my job mainly related to the coating field, the environment in which I move on a daily basis is quite agresive for a flashlight (and, probably, for a human being :ohgeez:): corrosive acids, solvents, etc.
I usually use torches to inspect inside industrial ovens of about 200 square meters (when switched off, of course :p) and paint spray booths rear pits. Most of them ATEX classified (I don't know whether this regulation is something applicable to flashlights or not; standard lamps do are).
In my case, more important than a powerful spotlight is a wide beam.

I'd like it no to be very large; with a clip to attach it to my pocket. Very praiseworthy if it is lightweight, as well.

My budget for this purpose would be about $100.

Thank you all in advance :thanks: (and excuse me for my odd english).

Although I can't recommend a specific model, Pelican might make a light that will work well in that environment.

Welcome to CPF!

Pelican Mightylight 1900. Approved for flammable atmospheres, only one seal with a single o-ring, inexpensive. It puts out a small tight beam. This is not a floodlight! It's very small, light, and puts a bright spot where you want it up close.

Barbolight do a specific ATEX model.. slightly above your budget though.
