Flickering MiniMag

I just installed a Nite-Ize 1-Watt L.E.D.with IQ Switch Mod to an older AA Mini Maglite.
The problem is that the light flickers once in a while when the head is turned. It seems that the switch contacts are dirty and I can't figure out how to clean them.
Any suggestions?

Remove the head and tailcap. Press the end of the batteries in with one finger, and turn the plastic part that says "do not remove" in circles for a dozen turns or so. That should scrape the contacts cleaner.

Use the eraser form a lead pencil, one of the best things to use to clean contacts.

All the suggestions seemed to do the trick. The beam is strong and steady now.
