Getting ready to go underway on another submarine (other than mine) as a rider to support them. So I open up the coffin rack and whoever had it before me left a bunch stuff in it. Hangers, trash, dirty laundry, and a mostly full box of SureFire lithiums! I'll find use for these in my A9 while underway! Good thing too as I'm still waiting on my Sanyos from Botach (surprise!). A quick question, not that I'll be able to read the responses til I get back, but can batteries labeled 123 be used in lights meant for CR123As? And is SF123 even a real name, I mean, these are just rebadged CR123As, yes?

Just know that you may not get Sanyos. I hope you do, the last 2 times I got Evereadys instead. They have been good cells though.

Yes. SF123A's can be used in lights that use CR123A lights (As per the note on the side's of the box / back of carded 2 packs.)

Lol! Yeah, not much room, but it was great for showing off and impressing people. Also good for "Wake Ups". What is the difference between CR123As and 123s? They both look the same and have the nub on the positive end. I understand they may not be Sanyos. Thank you for the reassurance that the ELs are good though!

SF123s are made by Surefire - they are their version of the CR123A. They are good quality cells.

Maybe an obvious point - do not confuse them with R123s / RCR123s (the same size, but Li-Ion rechargeables).

Thanks to all for the clarification! Also, I recieved the package today, they are indeed EL123As. Still better than paying $6.99 a piece at Wal-Mart.
