I have a stock SF G2. I want to do a drop in multi-mode LED. How does one switch between modes, just keep hitting the switch? How would I hold in any one function? Does the stock switch work, or will I have to buy another?
In a nutshell, you switch modes every time you hit the tailcap button, and you get constant on in any particular mode by twisting the tailcap to the on position once you've reached the mode you want. You can also twist the tailcap on and off repeatedly to cycle through the modes.
Another option is to use a normal drop-in and modify the G2's switch to get multiple levels of brightness. I haven't tried this myself, but I've heard you can buy the kit at the Sandwich Shoppe. I think it's this one:
The Mc2CS mod is really a nice one and comes highly recommended  . There are however, certain Quirks Of The Mc2CS Tailcap Modification you should be aware of. 15 ohm? 30 ohm? 60 ohm? I'll post a few beamshots for you to decide in a few hours...
