Will the head off of a G2Z fit securely on a standard G2? The reason I ask is I would like to have a pyrex lens on my G2 instead of a lexan. Thank you.

Yes.

The P/G/C/D/Z series lights are all compatible, hence the term Surefire lego.

Awesome. That is good news. I have been thinking of a lego Sf. Thanks for the reply. Now if I could finish LEGO Indiana Jones I would be on a role. Ha ha. Alright bad joke.

So your G2 bezel is of the style that doesn't have the screwed-in retaining ring for the Lexan window? If it does use the threaded retaining ring, then you can easily swap out the Lexan window for a UCL AR-coated glass window obtainable from flashlightlens.com

Dumb question - where do I get an extra threaded retaining ring?

(I've just got a G2 nitrolon with one-and-a-half heads, and a UCL glass from B/S/T. And I really like the standard head, but have no ring for it.)

From Surplus Shed Catalog:

Cat No / Diameter / Focal Length

DCX (Double Convex) Lenses:
L5132 / 25 / 28
L4401 / 26.1 / 28
L7199 / 26.9 / 25
L6379 / 27 / 22
L7224 / 27 / 28
Mine is one of these - that's all I can say.

BCX (BiConvex) Lens:
PL1004 / 25 / 25

PCX (PlanoConvex) Lens:
L6414 / 25 / 27

I just need to figure the proper Fl.

25mm Fl ought to work out, but the 29mm is a reasonable length as well.
