Anyone know if the extended Nitrolon body of the kit will allow the G2 to hold three CR123A cells, properly contacted at the lamp and tailcap w/o modification?

The G2 extension tube is longer than the A19, too much longer to make any contact with 3XCR123 batteries. I have the 6P version of the conversion kit.

You could try a charging spacer from lighthound - those have 1/2 cell length and should roughly be the right length. It would be necessary to wrap it in tape to avoid contact with the body of the light.

I have that setup using a cut down 123 dummy from Lighthound.
You will need to use aprox 2/3 of the dummy battery. Be sure to measure.
I cut mine with a dremel cut off wheel, then slap in a 9 volt l/a.
It feels great to me with the extra length.
I have 3 of them actually different colors of course.
I recommend replacing the lens with a ucl from lighthound as well as the 9 volt l/a's put out more heat.
