Went to the PO this morning to pick up my new Dereelight.
All I can say is WOW!! I love this flashlight!! :twothumbs
I got the 1SM-2 Cree XR-E module but had them swap for a
R2. I have both reflectors, but am only using the SMO for now.
And I'm running a 18650.
This light is way brighter than any of my other LED's, and it's
built like a tank. VERY solid and extremely well machined. It's a
little large for a EDC, and I can see it getting in my way if worn
on my belt.
Mine came with a battery (18650) and a little zip-lock bag of
spare parts (O-rings, oragne clicky switch cover, and spare screws).
The threads are as smooth as butter and the flashlight has a
great tactile hand-feel. Yeah, this SMO reflector does have rings,
but it's not objectionable, I've seen way noisier beams.
Cant wait till it gets dark outside to check the throw, but I know
this little guy is going to be a favorite keeper indeed. I am way more
impressed with it than I am my SF U2A, and it's less than half the
price. Of course, my DBS does not have adjustable beam, which is a
feature I love on the U2, with it's adjustment ring instead of a stupid
click, click, click!! which is very annoying when waring gloves.
Shipping did not take as long as I thought (from Hong Kong) just over
a week.
For the superb machining, quality, output and reasonable price, I
would recommend this to anyone. And I can tell by the design of the
head and reflector that it's going to throw very well. Just cant wait to
actually test it.
Happy customer!!
