Hi
I am very pleased with the performance versus compactness of this flashlight.
Its now my first choice for late night walking duties.
The throw is amazing for its size.
For this kind of use, the slow light off is not a handicap imo.

Its curious to note that WE class this as a tactical light !
Imho, I would suggest the energising phase @ cold start would
preclude this flashlight from tactical use.
The specs say 15 secs to fully brightness....but I timed 25 secs.
Maybe thats my eyes !
But too slow for late night rabbit shooting anyhow:xyxgun:
Are there any law enforcement officers using HID hand held flashlights ?

Quality of construction seems high with good anodising coverage.
The twisting action of the battery body to main ballast & reflector housing
to switch the unit on is surprising in its operation.
Its feels quite loose on the threads when unscrewed 90 deg from the on posn
when not in use.
When switched on the lockup on the threads is perfect & the unit feels
very solid.
However, the flashlight is not switched on all the time so thought it worth
mentioning.

Overall, this Shark is a killer unit.:D
Thanks to MikeLip for a great flashlight.:)

i am considering getting one of these lights, any trouble with it? I have read that some users have battery issues. let me know!

It's early days with the Shark
I fully charged it & used in the appauling rain the UK is experiencing at the
moment.
The run time on full power is about 60 mins.
The battery issues that may be appearing in certain examples of 24w
WE Boxer are not evident.( again, its early days)
The flashlight remains watertight even though it got pretty wet ( not submersed)
The 3" head houses an orange peel effect reflector which adjust between 4 &
16 degrees.
The throw is excellent for its size.
The flood.....I am not so sure as there seems to be alot of artifacts & little
blemishes in the light pattern that the texured reflector fails to hide close
up.
I need to test better on a clear night to confirm.

I have an FM3V 3" on a 3D quad bore pushing a WA62138.
I am impressed by this incans performance, but with 30 odd mins run time,
its not that practical.
I like the whiter light & longer run time of the Halide system.
(I prefer this type of lighting for a motor vehicle also)

The Shark continues to impress me, though this may be due to not
having anything similar to compare it with here.
( I am pretty sure that theres a few US members with some insane
set ups, sniggering at my comments thinking " thats not a flashlight....,
this is a flashlight:devil:)
