I have studied the Li-Ion 18650 Smackdown and started looking keenly at the Trustfire "black and red" label, but can't find them in the USA. I DID find the "Gray" version from a nice retailer in washington state. Are they the same cell? Only the Gray label is the USA wrapper and the Black and Red label is non-USA? Please help!

The colour of the wrapper has nothing to do with USA versus non-USA product.
The grey ones are available from other US vendors, as well as the popular shops in Hong Kong that a lot of CPFers (myself included) use.
The grey cells are different from the new 2400 mAh black labelled ones.
The black labelled ones are different from the grey labelled cells in that they have lower internal resistance, which is good.
