Last Thursday I started work at 6:00AM. On Friday I stumbled home at around 1:00AM. After the 18 hour day I wasn't thinking too clearly:shakehead When I got back up at 7:30AM on Friday to go back to work I realized the horror... I lost my EDC:eek:

For almost 2 years I had been carrying a SF E1L modded with a Seoul and a MCR20. I looked all over the house and work. I even shoveled the 8 inches of snow around my car to see if it fell out there....nothing:ohgeez:

Last night, Christmas eve, I was out shoveling more snow because the road was starting to flood from all of it melting. Down at the end of my driveway about 30 feet from where I park my car I found my light:party: I'm not sure how it ended up there, but I found it. After five days packed in the snow, and it probally got run over by a car at least once:ohgeez: I set it in front of a heat vent for a little while to bring it to room temp and then opened it up to make sure nothing looked wrong. After I put it back together I held my breath and pushed the switch..... it still works:party: Santa must have seen me shoveling the gallons of water and ice into the drains and took pity on me:nana:

Merry Chistmas to everybody here on the best online community I've found.

Yep. It was my introduction to flashaholism. I was at Target and got myself an AA Rock River (think that's what they're called). Loved that light and it rode on my pocket for over a month. I used the clip.

Then, one day, I looked down and the clip had somehow caught on my seatbelt and pulled the light out of pocket during the day. The only thing left was the clip!

So, I won't use a clip on any of my EDC lights any more. That light was only $20, but my new one is a lot more expensive and I don't want to lose it.

I edc'd a P1DCE before I got my EX10. I carried the Fenix in its holster on my belt.

But when I was using the light it would often find its way into a pocket rather than back into the holster. A bad habit.

One day it went missing. I looked for the P1D for just over a week before I was ready to give up the search, consider it lost and start looking for a replacement.

I resigned myself to getting a new light(an exciting feeling) and was on my way to the computer and CPF to scout the options.

I decided to give the couch one last search, the old college try as it were.

There, deep in the recesses in the middle of the couch the tips my fingers brushed metal. I tried a little harder and pulled out the errant P1D.

I had mixed feelings. I was elated that I'd found my missing friend, but more than a little bit sad that the new light was put on hold.

Ah, the bittersweetness of flashaholism.

2 little photon.

First one, one of my close friend saw that with my key chain.
As soon as he knew what it is, I lost one.

Second one, another close friend saw the new one that I take it in place a week later. He said "He got one, but I didn't" then I lost another one.

Now I have a LD01 SS and keep it in my pant pocket all the time.

Photon is O.K.
But LD01,kill me first.

I lost an HDS for a couple weeks and that was very frustrating. Wasted alot of time trying to find it. I was working on my car at the time it vanished, so I figured I left it in the engine bay and it fell out down the street. Drove all over looking for it.

Turns out I had gone to the basement for a tool and set the light down amid a bunch of crap. Found it sitting on it's tail exactly how I left it the next time I needed something out of that pile of stuff.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with a bunch of crap in my basement.
Not a EDC, but I dropped a 3d Mag overboard, sunk like a rock. I suppose thats the same as losing one!

I lost my modded Nuwai QIII -- *twice*.

First time must've been in the snow somewhere, and I looked everywhere for it. Started EDCing a River Rock 2AAA after that.

Second time I had just finished with the copper heatsink on a new QIII and an upgraded Luxeon with my *last* FLuPIC and I went on vacation and it must've dropped out when i got out at a rest area.

It's what prompted me to get a Novatac though...I suppose now I'm too paranoid about losing a more expensive light.

On another note, when I was a kid some friends and I were hanging out on a dock on a little pond at a camp and one guy knocked his waterproof light off the edge and we watched it slowly sink into the mud and duck crap never to be seen again. :)

i "lost" my ex10 a couple of weeks ago. i was using it at work and left it sitting on a shelf while i went to do something, and when i came back it was gone. i was getting ready to send it back to 4sevens because it was acting flakey, but still...

now i'm waiting for a fluxlite lf3xt that evidently got lost in the mail over christmas. i've been carrying a romisen rc-g2 that has a bad switch so it only works about half the time, so i'm reaallly eager to get the new light.

Ive lost too many lights too many times....fortunately they either turn up or I've been able to save them from turning into an archaeological find..

I'm on my 3rd E2D in five years, and I've also lost/had stolen 2 ARC AAA's. I keep hoping one of the ARC's turn up in a corner of my camper somewhere but the others there's no hope.
