Hi there friends!

Right now I am in Brasil, but I am looking for a trustable e-store to buy some outdoor stuff: a Maxpedition waist pouch, a good/small/trustable compass and some Spyderco folders.

I´ll gonna buy it from here, but I will send all the stuff for my uncle´s home in Tennessee. Can someone point me a good shop ?

Oh, I am with some doubts too, due to our metric system of measure.

1 - What should I buy ? A Maxpedition M2, M1 or the Anemone ? I need a SMALL waist pouch, to carry EDC stuff (light, wallet, cellphone, firestarter, a battery, compass, keys, etc. I am confused about it´s size... so if anyone has pictures with it attached on your waist (good perspective of view), I´ll be grateful.

2 - I need a trustable/small compass. If possible, cheap too... But, where to buy ? It will be a backup compass, cause I already have a good one.

Thanks in advance for all the replies!

Probably Amazon.com, that's the only site I know of that has Maxpedition products and carries a good selection of compasses.

I'm not a bag guy, so I can't help you with a suggestion there, but I do like a good inexpensive compass; I'd recommend a Silva, something along the lines of one of these: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000EQ81SS/?tag=cpf0b6-20
. You can get the same thing without a sightline mirror cheaper, if you don't need it.

maxpedition.com and lighthound.com are great stores

rei.com is good too although shipping is a bit high

amazon.com is always good

Thanks for the tips, guys.

Actually, it doesn´t have to be the SAME e-store for all the products. I am just looking for a trustable store because I´ll gonna buy via international credit card.

Probably I will get the Maxpedition stuff in Matt´s store (Battery Junction), but I am still searching for the compass and the Spyder folders.

And does someone has experience (with pictures, if possible) about the Maxpedition models that I mentioned in the OP ?

Thanks again.

Sierratradingpost is a good outlet for outdoor stuff. They don't have a steady stock - so if you look for something specific, they usually don't have it. But they always have compass and knifes at good prices.
They accept foreign credit cards - often you need to call them in order to make the order go through.

REI is a more traditional outlet store with a huge selection and reasonable prices.

Basegear.com is an other one I used recently.

As I recall dealextreme.com has cheap compasses as well. (no problem with credit card)

And for the Spyderco: I used knifecenter.com once, but has been a while ago.

Actually, I found the Knife Center dot com in the internet.

And has everything that I am looking for...

Do you guys know them ? Is it safe ?

I am in Brasil right now... Gonna buy with my international credit card.

I've bought a number of items from www.knifecenter.com since ~ 1998 - good selection and I've never had an issue their inventory, policies or customer service. If the billing address on file with your credit card company is different from the location you plan to ship the items to you may want add the ship to address as authorized address on file with your credit card company.

I am not certain of what your other duty gear is but my edc travel pack is a Fatboy Versipack.

Hope this helps and good luck.

I use www.gpknives.com for my knife purchases. They have a great selection and awesome prices. As far as international purchases I am not sure. You could probably call them and ask. But, their shipping within the US is very fast, both of my orders shipped out the same day I ordered it.
