Hey guys,
I've been searching but can't quite figure it out. Is there a direct comparison between the
1. Lumapower Avenger
2. Tiablo MA1
3. Fenix LOD Q4
4. any other bright multimode aaa contenders.

I am thinking of getting a little aaa edc for S&G, but can't decide. Can you guys point me towards some reviews or suggest a simliar mini torch I have overlooked.
Thanks in advance,
-Pete

You might also take a look at the LiteFlux LF2.

Here's a brief comparison between the LF2 (SSC) and L0D (Q4 or Q5):

-- Both have about the same total light output at max setting.
-- LF2 is floodier, with about 60% of the main beam lux value of the L0D.
-- The LF2 is less efficient, with 37 min. runtime at max vs. 69 min. for the L0D using an Eneloop AAA.
-- The L0D has noticeable flicker at lower settings; the L0D doesn't.
-- LF2 levels are completely settable; the L0D has fixed levels.

A 10440 Li-ion cell can be used in either one, although Fenix doesn't recommend it for the L0D, and both get hot very quickly when running at max.

LiteFlux has a newer Cree version, which I don't have any data on. It might be less floody than the SSC version I have, but I find the pattern of mine to be about ideal for this type of light.

Much as I like the L0D, I've been EDCing the LF2 for some time now, and like it a lot.

Here's my .02... for what its worth I also posted some pictures and a mini review HERE.

As far as size, ease of use, beam color and general "feel"... Get the FENIX L0D CE

For programmability, output, smoothness of beam and brightness (with 10440 Li) Get the LF2x

I have had a Tiablo MA1 for 3 days now, and I love the light it puts out. This thing really cranks out some lumens.....its brighter than other lights that I have that are considerably bigger...it's got high and low speeds with a simple interface.....other than being unattractive, there's nothing not to like about this thing.

The ARC AAA and Fenix LOD Q4 seem sensibly adequate for the combination of the size, output, and price. I often ponder my decision to replace the older ARC AAA with a Photon Freedom, but the significant lack of weight of the Photon made me realize the importance of my decision.

Nonetheless, the new ARC AAA and LOD Q4 appear to be good choices for when placed on a keychain or small pocket.

Their increased light outputs make them remarkably usefu
