Hi All,

I know this might be the most recurrent topic, so sorry for that.
I'm choosing my next flashlight and after reading all the reviews I could find, now I'm even more confused.

My current flashlight is a Fenix tk16, which I love. But I want to have an upgrade with some added features:
- More lumens.
- Tail stand capable, but tail switch is a must.
- Have a moonlight or a top 5 lumens low setting.
- Shortcut to Turbo mode.
- Shortcut to Moonlight mode.
- Rechargeable directly from the flashlight, I'm done with having so many external chargers.

I normally leave my flashlight on my nightstand, and carry a Rovyvon A2 with me all day, unless I'm going somewhere where I might need light, then I'll put it in my pocket. So it's not a full EDC flashlight, but it's always good to have the possibility to put it in my jeans left pocket and go.

I started with only 2 options: Olight M2R Pro Warrior or the Klarus XT21X. I'm foreseeing the 21700 to be a great option of a battery.
But found some things I did not like on each other, for example:
- I prefer the white color of the Klarus.
- I prefer the size of the Olight.
- I prefer the USB charger for the Klarus.
- I prefer the runtimes of the Olight.
- I prefer the max lumen output of Klarus (if its actually true).

With all these thoughts, I started to investigate... And I found some nice flashlights who are starting to become contenders as well, so the current list is:
- Klarus XT21X
- Olight M2R Pro Warrior
- Fenix PD36R
- Jetbeam Jet IIIMR
- Fenix tk22
- Interested in some Nitecore, but not sure of the brand, I don't have any experience with them, except for chargers.

Pleas share your comments/recommendations on what to choose.

Thanks so much

Love my PD36R. It does not tail-stand! I don't have a TK22 but don't believe it tail stands either.

Thanks Raptor,

The Fenix PD36R is getting higher and higher on the list, super recommended by tons of people.

Well...I'm not sure I have any new suggestions, I can however perhaps help you decide further between the Klarus and the Olight. I own both an M2T and an XT11GT. I love them both. They work very well and I haven't had any real issues other than just not being mindful of the GT and bumping the paddle switch, which in a couple of cases has resulted in the light coming on and staying on in high mode...certainly noticed after a minute or two but that was enough to start melting things. I have had the Olight come on while in my pocket as well but that was again not being mindful of the light. Since getting used to how I need to carry them I've not had an issue.

I really think that the Klarus XT series is the best, I just wish I had known how they worked when they first came out.

Check out Streamlight.com. Under Products, drop down to "rechargeable" and "USB rechargeable" as there are a good variety of choices. I recently bought their worklight for the garage and such, with high CRI, very happy with this: FLIPMATE LED RECHARGEABLE WORK LIGHT

Forget about moonlight if you choose Fenix. Tk22's lowest is 30lm. The only Fenix light with moonlight is UC35 v2.0.
People have been asking for years but Fenix doesn't listen.

Consider a Zebralight sc600 series, seriously. All your other boxes checked. The only downside is it is not rechargeable.
