Hi guys. I'm a longtime lurker in need of some ideas for a new torch. I use my light outside during the day looking into unlit storage units. I need to see labels and such 20 feet away. Also, I have another problem. My glasses happen to have transition lenses, so they are dark when I need to see these labels.
Can you guys throw me some ideas? My budget is around $100. I need maximum throw and output (rechargeable spotlight?). I don't want it bigger than a Maglite 2D. Runtime of 5 to 10 minutes. I'd prefer it to use CR123 primaries or rechargeables.
Is there anything I can handcraft like from dealextreme?
