Help me make a choice !

I want to buy my first high end LED flashlight and have narrowed my choice down to two lights, the Dereelight DBS and the surefire E2D LED Defender, I know that they are completly differant styles of light but I like the look of them. If people could list the pros and cons of these lights, realistic run time in various modes, build quality, personal opinions etc it would be greatly appreciated. Also which of the DBS combinations would be the best choice and links to beam shots of both of these lights would be helpful.

Some questions:

Do you plan to carry the light?
Do you plan to use it indoors or outdoors?
Do you need to see long distances?
Do you want to use rechargeables?

Light will be left in my work van so won't physically have to carry it, it will get both indoor and outdoor use, don't need to use rechargables but would def be an advantage, define long distance ?

It wont be an everyday user, I just feel a need for a good quality led
