Help me whit this UV CREE LED

I have the KD emitter, it's wavelength isn't so great but driven at 800ma it does throw out a lot of UV, it's mounted in a RC-G2 which has a nice reflector so lights up most bio liquids from a few meters.

The Cree can be pushed to 1.3 amps if properly heat sinked but be very careful to not have ANY reverse voltages (even small spikes from switch bounce) or it may destroy it.

 Are you sure??? I dont want to blow my uv...

We've only used twenty some thousand of them prior to them stopping production. Again, the 1300 ma figure is with very good heat sinking (think water cooled), Anything up to 700 ma is pretty easy to cool with enough area.

I've used this one for my UV upgrade. It looks like the same host as you've linked to, but the one you linked to has a glass lens and a Cree. My one has a plastic lens and a generic star mounted LED. I bought these glass lenses as I have a few of the lights I linked to.

Since the one you linked to already has a Cree, you'd hope the reflector would suit your UV Cree :)

Hi, this is the reason bacause I choice this one, for the lens and for the driver too... How bright is yours??? Do you have some pics to share??? :candle::D

I can't really say how bright it is because it's difficult to see... I'm using a 6 degree optic in it too because the standard reflector was poor. I can see things fluorescence from over 150', but I usually only use it to charge glow items.

Sorry, I don't have any pics of the light.

OT a bit. Do the UV cree LEDs have the same footprint as teh XRE? ie, can I use a light engine board for the older UV LEDs?
