I seem to have lost my auto adapter for my PS4(b) Rayovac charger.
Could someone who owns one post the tech specifications for just the auto (cigarette plugin)?
Output and pin type is what I need.

I do still have the home plug and its output says:

15.5VDC 1.3A 20.15VA

But I'm not sure if those numbers translate to the output of the auto adapter.

Thanks for any help.

(of course finding a place that sells just an adapter is going to be another whole problem :sigh: )

I have the PS4 along with the C-9000. I don't believe my PS4 ever came with an Auto Adapter. Maybe I just never had a use for it. As long as you don't exceed the output of the wall-wart, I would think it would just charge slower with the auto plug.

Just doing a random google search for "universal auto dc adapter" came up with the following:

Is selectable between 15 and 30 volts. You probably don't need one this robust (It's made to power laptops), but something similar with selectable voltages or amperages would do. I'm guessing one of those tips would fit the ps4.

if the wall wart was 15v, then chances are good that the cigerett lighter plug was just a straight up connection, with a proper fuse size in it.

the radio shack sells a straight up cig plug with various adapters for different devices, just make sure you get the polarity right, and put in a 2a fuse, and you would be set.

do you have a link to the charger? or its PDF spec sheet?

i assume that the lighter plug plugged into the SAME spot that the wall wart did right?

If I have the same PS4 as he does, I can confirm there is only one power connector.

When the PS4 was still selling there were two packages, one was a coupon included in the packaging that you mail in for the car cord and the other included it. I had to hunt for the one with it included.
Its a simple straight through adapter, just puts the 12-15v from the car straight in to the charger, no regulation or anything.
I listed mine for sale with the car adapter a while back on the CPFmarketplace if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the tips\advice.

I checked yesterday at the Source (Radio Shack) for various DC adapters and plugs: http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/c...ry=DC+AdaptorsandPlugs&sort=1&pagenum=2&cpid=

But I am still not sure which to get.

I know I need the correct polarity but it's the amps that I need help with.
The clerk said that some devices use proprietary inputs and that it looked like the PS4(b) chargers used A LOT of power. I wonder if the Rayovac can only be used with its own plug. ?
I'd rather not spend more money than I need to.

IIRC it draws around 1A so as long as your power supply can allow 1A or more your fine.
I can't recall the polarity and mine is in a box someplace, but I thought it was printed on the bottom.
