Hi ppl :)

I got a BM 3100 auto on my keys and i just love this little knife, it's just perfect for my keyring. The only problem is that my hands sweat a lot so the oily marks on the SS handles are unavoidable.
So what's the best way to clean it up ? Preferably some sort of home made recipy as for the time being i am very low on funds...

EDIT: Also for future notice, what's the best way to sharpen it ?

Thanks in advance.

I would just use a dilute mix of warm water and Dawn or other dish detergent. Use compressed air to blow out the whole knife, let dry, and they rub down with CLP, Militec or TuffCloth lubricant/protectant.

In the future, check out TuffCloth, you wipe your knives down with it and let it dry, then whatever residue you can wipe off with a clean cloth if you like.

The absolute foolproof way to sharpen a knife is the Spyderco Sharpmaker. There's a cheaper one that is also fairly foolproof, and it is the Smith 3-in-1 sharpener. It is not as versatile though.
