So, I have a LumaPower MVP, which I really like. And I just got an EagleTac M2C4. Now, the part that has me wondering is that EagleTac seems to have no reservations about running their light at full power with CR123 batteries, where as LumaPower strongly discourages doing the same for more than 4 minutes. What's EagleTac doing different? If anything, my EagleTac is brighter than the LumaPower!

Dirving the LED harder, having a more efficient circuity, or both...If you run the M2C4 for a long time it will get hot as well

Well, I understand why it's brighter. But it seems that with the LumaPower, their concern is not with the integrity of the flashlight itself but of the batteries. Or am I missing something? Hmm. I guess I could ask Ricky.
