Hello Don,
and others...

I hope you dont mind me opening a new thread. :duck:

I have asked some other members here, i thuoght they would know.

I would like, or have the chance to buy a c-pak for my Arc6, but dont
know how it will work?

Can i still choose the levels by twisting the head? And with clicky
operating on/off?

The only tricky part is entering programming mode, because you have to turn the switch on and then twist the head to low=>high=>low=>high ten times. Other than that, it works fine.

To access stage 1, you will have the head loose. To access stage 3, you have the head tight when you turn on the light. To access stage 2, you will have the head loose when you turn on the light, and then you tighten the head.

Many thanks for the help.

Again, if i use the standard body i can tighten the head for stage 1
and if i tighten the head a little more i have stage two. This works without
pushing the pistonddrive.

Will this be the same with the c-pak?

Or do i need to push the clicly too, to get to the second stage
(twisting the head and pushing the clicky)???

I invented a little unofficial nomenclature for McGizmos using C-Paks -- instead of "-PD" or "-C" or "-T", I call them "-TC", or "twisty-clicky". This is because lights using C-Paks don't behave like "real" clicky lights like the Haiku, nor do they behave like "real" twisty lights, nor like PD lights for that matter. They have their own unique behavior, because they have two switches combined together.

Basically, twisting the head selects the brightness and pressing the switch turns the light on and off. If you want the light to turn on in high mode, you tighten the head before pressing the switch, and if you want the light to turn on in low mode, you loosen the head before pressing the switch.

-or-

You can leave the switch in the "on" position and the head will operate like a twisty light, and the switch can be used as a lockout or a way to blink the light to send signals.

I've got an Arc6 body but no head!!

If you want to sell me the head that would work!

Come to think of it I have a C-pack too, and an extra Aelph body. Need some heads !!

In all seriousness - nice thread, great responses except for mine :drunk::drunk: - I need to stay away from the custom B/S/T tonight....

If you own a Lunasol, you can always use the C-Pak on it, and use the Lunasol's PD Pak on your Arc6. That's what I did.
