How rich are you?

lol its a scam i make less then 8000 a year and it says im in top 13%

It could be wrong. If you think about how much someone in Africa or China makes per year compared to Europeans or Americans it makes more sense.

Yeah....I read an article about a person in Pakistan who makes mud bricks for a living. Works 12 hours a day for USD equivalent $2.50 to feed the family.

This can NOT be correct!!!

107,565
You are the 107,565 richest person in the world! You're in the TOP 0.001%
richest people in the world!

I call Bravo Sierra!!! :lolsign:

If it IS true, then it would make me VERY happy :)

but the thing is that becuase *almost* everyone in that country is poor it makes every thing pretty cheap. while they may not be able to have luxarie items i can almost garrantie i ciggerate is not going to cost almost 10 bucks a pack. the reason it cost so much over here is becuase we have a lot more richer people and a goverment that supports us, unlike them.

Plus, it's based on how much you make, not how much you have.

I mean, if someone makes $28,000 a year, it says you would be the 499,827,587th richest person or in the top 8.33%, but what if a person makes $28,000 a year, but had $400,000 in liquid assets plus $200,000 of equity in their home?

Either way, it's kind of a sweet page. It says that for only $73, I can open my own health clinic.

It appears that $850 US per year puts you at the 50% point.

wow that crazy. i dont have a job(to young) and i spent more than that on flashhlights off of thing i have bought, fixed up then sold. that is truly amazing.

Top 11.37%. Globally speaking, I'm a pretty rich guy. Here in the U.S., I'm a bum that works a flower shop. Sheesh. I didn't include any money I might get from recycling. In past years, recycling has been a lot more profitable than it is now, for me.

Somewhat interesting is that in 2004, I made enough money from recycling *alone* to put me in the top 13.89% of the world. That's $7302, from peoples trash. This year, I'll be lucky if I break a thousand, due to both my decrease in searching and also the increase of number of people looking.

Try this. Put in 200000. Look at the number. Then put in one dollar more. Then look at the number. How much percentage points (and position) did you move up by making one more dollar a year?

Interesting if this were true.

Hmmm, I really don't think that is at all accurate. According to that thing if you put it 200,001 you are the 105,565 richest person in the world. That can't possibly be true. There must be way more than 100,000 people in the U.S alone that make over 200,000 a year.

Check the "how we do it" link:

The Global Rich List calculations are based on figures from the World Bank Development Research Group. To calculate the most accurate position for each individual we assume that the world's total population is 6 billion¹ and the average worldwide annual income is $5,000².

Below is the yearly income in percentage for different income groups according to the World Bank's figures³.
