Can anyone suggest how to remove the white graphics on a NiteCore Defender Infinity without effect on the finish?

In particular I am bothered by the poorly printed 'star' and 'strong-light' on the knurling. The brand logo on the flat is ok.

Coldie.

Don't laugh but I wet the tip of my finger, put it in sugar and used the sugar to scrub away the printing on my Samsung blackjack cellular phone with no damage to the finish.

Well I'll try the sugar right now - can't hurt - can't see how it will work... Did see the blackout post sometime back. 'Black-out' will be a final option v. removal. Thanks for the tips. Any more ideas anyone?

The sugar rubbing won't help since the lettering isn't painted on. It is lasered. ;)
The best way to disguise it is the alumium black or a sharpie, as already mentioned. The first option will be the longest lasting, and easy to re-apply.

Yeah the sugar wasn't useful. I tried nail polish remover - no go. I guess a 'black-out' of some kind is on the cards. I don't think a 'sharpie' will do it for me. I might try a nice olive green - so you can still see the graphics - but just a darker color than white.

Thanks.

Coldie.

Here is the post in wich aluminium black was used. ;)

"Strong Light" detractors, this is what I did:

I used Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black. You can barely make out the Strong Light markings. In fact, I had to photoshop the picture above to enhance whatever remained of the marking. I agree that the marks should be minimal and it should be applied to the flat parts of the body and not on the knurling.

After a few days of playing with this light, I remain impressed at the sample I got. I still can't get over how bright it is for a single AA light. I am now looking at all my 123 based lights in contempt though I admit that if Edgetac can get this much light out of a single AA, they should be able to produce a single 123 based light that would be noticeably brighter. But I digress, and the appeal of using easily available Alkaline AA's in a pinch has great value.

Nice job Edgetac!

Thanks for posting that. My search efforts failed. I guess I am not the only soul that thinks the NDI 'strong light' is a bit obvious.

I will post pictures when I have achieved some outcome.

I thought it was painted on? Sorry. I have used the Birchwood stuff with great sucess on my Inova and Novatac. I got it at Bass Pro.
