How to remove S27 window

Anyone know how to remove the window of a S-27 head? I've read it's the same as the HD45, but I haven't been able to find instructions for that light either.

Do I just pull out the front o-ring and the window will fall out? Thanks

Yes,
Pull out the front O-ring and the window can then be removed. The reflector has an O-ring around it to aid in keeping it in place so if you are planning on removing the reflector as well, you will need to push it out from the rear. This can be done with a small probe through one of the holes in the heat sink which is staked in place, by the way. I won't ask why you are removing the window! :nana:

Wayne has his instructions for the HD45 in this post. It's in the second section - be sure to read the installation bit about reversing pressure so as not to end up with a loop. Probably not as bad on the S27 though ...
