I've bounced around on my lights and I always go back to the C2-HA. I've owned 4 of them I think. I guess cuz it has all the features on one light - HA, pocket clip, grip ring, aluminum contruction for the LED drop ins' I use. I guess the C2-HA is a good all around platform. It will run all the high powered P60 style drop ins while still being relatively small. I have a BOG Q5 drop in on the way as well as some from DX. I'll pick the best 2 and sell the rest. I don't know why I like the C2-HA so much aside from the reasons listed above. The "lowly" 6P could do all of that. Maybe its a subconcience obsession with that design or something. LOL! Is there help for me on this? I will be using an E1B for discreet carry though. Seems like a good pair - one small light with a long runtime on low, and one retina scorcher.

I have a mint E2DL and spare E2DL head I'll be throwing up for sale when I get a chance (my user name for the marketplace doesn't work on my GFs' computer and the lost password function doesn't get my password to my email for some reason:shrug:) if you're interested PM me here.)

Ahhhhhh Yes......The C2! An excellent body design. I currently have 2x C2's, 2x M2's, and an L5 body that get used a lot. With the addition of an McE2s 2-stage tailcap it makes the light even more useful having the ability to choose between low and high.

I sold most of my 6P bodies when I started getting more C2/M2/L5 bodies. They just feel better in the hand and I'm a sucker for HA lights....

I'm the same way with my E2d. They are handsome lights. And like your best friend, they are dependable with no questions asked.

I also think that the C2 is the best looking SF light!

i have two C2/ha for few years and always my favorite.
maybe the best design , reliable and always on top, with a beamshaper and some r2 drop out.

I definitely enjoy the C2-HA. It was the first Surefire that I thought was cool-looking and really, really wanted. Now that I'm running a Malkoff M60F in it... it never leaves my belt (except for when it's in my hands! :p).

Yeah, I just got my first C2-HA (sporting a Malkoff M60) and while it may be a little too soon to say I do think there is something about this light that stands the test of time. There is just so much substance to it. It just plain works and has an awful lot of style without coming off as trendy. I can see myself always having at least one of these and at least one A2.

That is my EDC combo, M60+ C2HA. I was debating between getting another L4 to replace my lost one or waiting for an updated model. After some time I got tired of waiting for an update and didn't like that the L4 was impossible to upgrade easily, and went looking for other options. The C2 is one of the most versatile platforms for a light, pocket clip, excellent grip, good looking and not too big to edc. Best of all when the next greatest lamp assembly comes out it's as easy as popping the old one out and the new one in.

I have yet to acquire a C2. I have two C3s, but I am kinda wanting a C2. Many options available in terms of bulbs/lamp assemblies, LED drop-ins and 2 cell configurations.

Dang you all.

It looks great in orange, too :D

My C2 HA (with a SolarForce Q5 drop-in) is quite amazing. I only carry mine when going out at night or when toting a bag, since I find it quite big, comparing to my favorite EDC lights (see sig line). Plus, I always feel like I have to carry a longer running companion, due to the short runtime of the C2, and it's inability for close up and indoors work. It may be a great light, but sure as hell it can only do one thing: pure throw, and for that it's the best I've got, and don't feel the need for anything more powerfull.

Yet, I do have a dilema: the light is so nice, I would like to get a higher quality drop-in (Malkoff) for it. But the high price, the rare use I have for it, and the small upgrade it would be in beam quality and brightness from my current drop-in have held me back. If I truly felt that the Solarforce had a reliability problem, I would take the plunge. But I really cannot say that.

I don't have a C2, but when I saw it on the SF site awhile ago I thought that I need to get one someday because it looks like a great design and a great P60 host. I hope to add it to my collection one of these days. :)

omg....i never knew there were so many versions of that same body....ORANGE!? JUNGLE CAMO?!

:faint:

I'd say an orange C2 beats a purple A2 any day...

Tempest, is that re-anodized? or a custom from surefire?
