You guys are crazy. I have been on this forum for 2 days (about 14 hours) and I am still lost. All of your acronyms and part numbers are driving me crazy. I need help, I use a 2C Mag with 3 SF123A's and a 6 cell bulb. My only problem is batteries, they get expensive. What is the best rechargable for this application? Should I upgade the bulb too? Bottom line, I want a bright 2C size rechargable with at least 30 min run time. Does anyone have something like this for sale? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Now, I'm not an incan guy, but I think you want 2 C li-ions running a ROP-lo bulb.

IIRC, you'll need to buy a metal reflector.

That sounds like what I want. From what I understand you can abuse the Mag-Num Star more than ROP's and others. I don't want it to fail if I drop it 6". Can I use that charger for my SF L1 Digital, if so which battery would be best? Thanks

The L1 will give much better performance with primary (nonrechargeable) CR123As. SF's own brand is high-quality and relatively inexpensive.
