I have read a bunch of posts here, but just need a simple recommendation for a charger. I have a Tenergy TL-100 that has given up the ghost. I was going to get the Ultrafire WF-139, but have read some negative reviews of it. I also do not like the Ultrafire brand name. I see the Pila is highly recommended, but that is too much money to spend on a charger. Is there something that is good, that is somewhere in between? I will be charging protected and unprotected 18650's. I would also prefer a US vendor. Thanks folks!

Mike

The next step up from the Ultrafire WF-139 is the Pila IBC. I'm not aware of any charger that is in between in terms of quality.

I saw a post about one made by Barbolight, but apparently it was never produced. There are a bunch of them out there, but they all seem like they are poorly made in one way or another. One I saw supposingly had a fake UL listing. I hesitate to pay $50.00 for a charger only because I have bought brand name AA chargers for years, good ones, and they were nowhere near that price. Does anybody discount the Pila?

The Yoho-122 appears to be a good compromise between the WF-139 and the Pila IBC. It uses the proper CC/CV charging algorithm that Li-Ion cells manufacturers specify.

It's being closed out at Battery Station, and is listed as the Dual Pocket Charger (bottom of the linked page).

Other members here have been using it with no issues for several years.
I recently bought one and have another one on the way.

mdocod (one of the resident Li-Ion gurus) has been giving it a spin and sees it as a low cost alternative to the Pila IBC.

EDIT: Best price on the IBC seems to be $45 + $7.95 shipping at flashlightz or $49 with free(?) shipping from pila-usa.com

Well, we produced them. We have sold some thousands, and we can say that they are very reliable and work perfectly. Some of them are being used at police and fire stations in which they have more flashlights and batteries than chargers (5 to 1 ratio), and althought the use is intensive, they work perfectly.

Here you are all the technical information you need.

Thank you for your reply! I was on your webpage earlier this week, but there was not a working link to purchase one. Where can I purchase one of these chargers and for how much?
