I have a pair of the BLT bike lights, specs are below:

Battery: in a water bottle type with lead acid
Lamp: 1 x MR11 6W Halogen bulbs + 1 X MR11 15W Halogen bulbs
Connector Type: RCA jack

My questions:

1)How can I upgrade it to 2 X Cree Q5 LEDs instead of using the old halogen bulbs and upgrade to a newer battery like NiMh or Li-Ion using RCA connection?

2)Which kind of drivers do I need to power the Cree Q5 LEDs?

3)How do I connect the 6W and 15W with the Cree Q5 LEDs?

4)What exactly are 6W & 15W, 3V-9V and 300mA-1000mA?

I am a newbie don't know any of these terms in electronics. Can someone tell me how I can upgrade my old bike light?

Thanks,

Michael

Your best bang for the buck might be to upgrade your battery, and keep the same halogen lights. If you're currently running a 12V lead-acid, then switching to a 14.8V li-ion will give you much more light (with a significant decrease in bulb life), and also be much lighter.
a fairly optimistic graph:

You can buy the battery at batteryspace.com or similar, and make an adapter from the existing connector to the batteryspace one, or change the plug on the light to match the new battery.

But then I don't feel like using halogen anymore. The new LEDs are much brighter and no need to worry the life of the lamps. I've checked out the batteryspace.com and I saw they sell the NiteHawk 10W Equivalent Emitter Bike Light. I have used it before and I don't think it is bright enough for trail. I've placed the order online for the same brand NiteHawk Luxeon K2 and I wonder this Luxeon K2 will out beat my Fenix P3D Cree flashlight. Personally I still perfer Cree LEDs because their LEDs can produce 1000 lumens http://www.primenewswire.com/newsroom/news.html?ref=rss&d=126287&topic=2048.
