Yeah! Finally a decent loaner for my co-workers :D

It's a SureFire 6R-PH in black, it seems in good condition.

It comes with two never-used rechargeable sticks, charger, the extender, a spare bulb, a holster and six new CR123a's.

For all this stuff I paid EUR 30,50 :sssh:

Can someone tell me a little more about this one? I am not so into the rechargeable versions of the SureFires, it looks like an ordinary 6P and an extender to me....

You can look at the auction here: (with pictures)

Looks like a pretty good price for the package. If those are the old battery sticks, mine never lasted very long and I would not be surprised of those are dead, especially if they have not been used for a long time. It does have the better "smart" style charger, the first chargers you had to time how long they were plugged in, that one will have the red and green lights. If the tailcap has the smooth button Surefire will send you a new one for free. The old models would stop working.Let us know if the battery sticks work when you get it.

That's nice info, Pontiaker! It'll be some time before I have it I'm afraid. It has to come from Germany to the Netherlands, and it looks like the seller has no paypal....
The first I'll do, is to slowly charge the battery-sticks, with some kind of fast-charger (anything faster than 15 hours) you'll instantly damage the cells if they haven't been used for a long time.
The second is to look for the tailcap. I don't want anybody to be on location with this flashlight, that then suddenly stops working, with me assuring this is the very best brand you can buy
Then I am the one to take all the blame

If the batterysticks are dead, I'll stick to either one 17670 or two 16340s with a decent LF-bulb. The best option regarding runtime is the HO-4 that draws 1.8A and has the same 150 Lumens the ES-9 has.
I'll first see how these batterysticks perform, if they prove worthless there are plenty of other ways to power it :)
No need for the extender in this case either! Still, the size of any 2-cell CR123-light can hardly be beaten...
