if you could ask Lumens Factory for a wish...

I am curious what you all think of the current line-up of the Lumens Factory INCANDESCENT D26 lamp-assemblies.

What would be your "dream-come-true" lamp?

Should it be brighter, whiter, have a longer lifespan, or do you just wish there was one with an even lower current consumption (and light output) than the ES-9? Or......... ??!!

Let the ideas come lovecpf

I would love to see some of their excellent bulbs potted in MES/E10 or even PR bases. That would be SO versatile...

Their penlight bulb shows it is feasible and practicable...

To stop frosting the D26 bulbs. And maybe redesign the reflector so that it fits in a SF SC1 spares carrier.

I wouldn't change any of the specs though, they have a well rounded line-up with a lamp for every use.

I would ask for an EO-A2 lamp that gave the A2 100+ lumens out the front for 40 minutes. Probably not possible, but it would be a good alternative to the Strion mod.

since the A2 isn't direct drive, I don't think you can get the LVR to commit more juice to the lamp to increase the output from what it already is.

Good idea though...except I don't see the point of having a stronger xenon on the A2, personally I'd just EDC something else dedicated for xenon output:laughing:

I would like for them to add an ES-4 to their line up. A low amp option for the 6p running on 1 li-ion. Maybe around 20-25 lumens or so.

Don't frost anything. These bulbs are almost always used with textured reflectors and the beams don't require additional softening. These aren't LED's and so we're not as picky about perfectly smooth beams. Most of us do love throw though and unfrosted bulbs do better.

:thanks:

 +1!

/agree on loosing the frosting. I really like the behavior of the new non-frosted IMR lamps...

What about smooth reflector options?

+1 on smooth reflectors.

I'd like to experience a 13V IMR M3 bulb. This would probably need a new reflector (with larger bulb opening & smooth please). But that would be pure bliss, and :hitit:most definitely! lovecpf

To jump in here, I'd wish for some 9 and 13v hi output options for the Wolf-Eyes M100. If they did, I would have pulled the trigger on a M100

I think it would be sweet to have a PR based bulb. Something like an ROP bulb. Something designed for 7.4 so it wouldn't pop. This is something that could come with like 2-3 high bulbs per pack and probably still be like $10.

OK, now when someone wanted the same as I would like, I can tell it as well:

I would also like to see some low-power lamp assembly. Let's say about 300mA.....500mA @ 7,6V. (or 8,0V then it lives longer).

This would be perfect for close up work with my C3 Centurion. As I already knew, LEDs are not for me. What I discovered lately, was really bad: I saw things less with the LED-light on than when I just held the part under a fluorescent tube! I grabbed an incan and... I could read the small numbers right away!

The P90 which is in now, is blindingly bright for close-up work. You see nothing but twinkles in your eyes in the split second you decided to turn this beast on :shakehead

So, Mark, when do they come available ? :D :D

+1!

Replacements for the apparently increasingly hard to get ROP high and low bulbs would be great!
