Ok, I'm an idiot.

I've taken apart my SF 6P and was looking at everything and went to put it back together and I seem to have done something wrong. If someone could list the order of parts that need to go together from one end to the other it be greatly appreciated.

"My" parts list consists of:

Tailcap
Body
P60 Lamp
Stock Head
G&P Tactical Head w/ Strike Bezel
Smooth Alum Ring (that came with G&P head I think)
Black Ring w/ External Threads (that fits the threads where the strike bezel threads in. I think I had to remove it to install the strike bezel)
2 x CR123 Batteries
1 x 169B Li-Ion Battery (that I was told to use to convert to rechargeable)
Lumens Factory D26 HO-4 Lamp (that I was told to use with above Li-Ion battery to make rechargeable)

Wolf-Eyes CH-02 Charger (accepts 168A/168B/150A/150B, but the 169B fits also)

Guess I'm still in the Stone Ages :candle:

I'm trying to convert it to rechargeable and install the strike bezel in case I wasn't clear on my intentions, hehe

Thanks for you help with this matter!!

Lets start with the tail cap.
1. Put the on the tail end of the body.
2. Put the battery in
3. Put the led lamp in the bezel end
4. Screw the bezel down

I could be wrong somewhere as I don't own most of those parts.

It's the "extra" Alum ring (spacer) and the external threaded ring that has me stumped.

Also, the head "popped" apart. It's lens then the o-ring I assume to hold the lens and to seal it?

I use the aluminum ring with the G&P head and a drop in LED module on a 6P. Put the aluminum ring in the head before screwing it onto the body. I tried it without the ring and it still worked. Some drop in's need to have the negative spring removed to fit in a 6P, I don't have a W.E. so I'm not sure with that model. I've never had the window pop out though. Good luck.

That's far more parts than any of my 6P's.

If you can snap a picture of the entire inventory of this 6P's parts, maybe we can help define what goes where. (And maybe we can nail down which parts should be put back into your blender / cordless drill / lawnmower / RC car / electric razor / microwave / wife's station wagon)

LOL :nana:

I may need to check my new lamp. After all this, I may have a bad lamp. I never thought about the new lamp being bad.

I assume to check it i need to use a multimeter, but how? What do I set it to and where do I touch the probes to?

I'm such a n00b!! :duh2:

Well, it's not the bulb. I just had one of the electricians at work check it with his multimeter. He checked ohms & continuity and said both were good. When I get home I'll have to get my meter out and check the freshly charged li-ion and make sure it's pushing the proper volts. If it is, I must be putting something together wrong but I don't know how.

I've got it back together now in the stock config and it works fine.

Stormstaff, if you are using the EO4 in a 6P, make sure you use the optional spring with it ie an inner and outer spring just like your P60

Howdy, Stormstaff.

If it helps at the Surefire web site on the main screen, under "downloads" there are PDF files for instruction manuals. The one for 6P's has a cut away view (well, it's of a C2, but they're pretty much the same). That will cover the basics. The instructions for the lamp assembly should cover the rest. Now, if that doesn't work, change only one thing at a time to keep things simple.

The smooth ring sounds odd to me, too, but what do I know?

Hope this helps.

I need to do some looking myself, but I just noticed that it seems people say I should be using a 168 battery, yet I have a 169. Difference? Could this be my problem this whole time?

As I said, I'll do some checking myself, but someone on here may respond quicker than I can read, LOL

As always, thanks in advance for your help!!!

This is a content list for the Wolfeyes LRB 6P kit.

Components:

1 x 3.7V Wolf-Eyes lamp assembly with contact spring
1 x CH-02 fast smart AC charger (DH-02 DC charger optional)
1 x LRB-168B rechargeable Li-ion battery with capacity of 1400mAH

Make sure the center spring is making contact to the positive side of the battery. I had a similar problem on a different flashlight.
I made sure the outer spring fit inside the flashlight properly, then I stretched the center spring by 1/4 inch and the lamp assembly worked.

Well, I finally got around to send PST an email concerning this. Hopefully I'll get a response tomorrow.

Don't feel bad, I managed to take apart a minimag and couldn't get it to work!
