I'm looking for an inexpensive heat sinks

I'm looking for an inexpensive heat sinks to mount a Cree Q2 or P4 star on. I want to order a couple of dozen or more. Small in size somewhere around 1 inch by 1 inch.

Please tell me if you know who sells cheap heat sinks all different sizes. I'm sure there are some made in China that are low cost.

jus go and dismantle some old pc ..... get the heat sink from the cpu fan .... = free !

or buy a cheap cpu fan = cheap!

due to size, might need to custom size by dremel some unwanted parts away ....

thats how i do it ..... :X

... 24 .... there's alot of old pc/fan to dismantle .....

well, as provided, ebay might be a gd way to get bulk heatsinks ....

btw, there;s also an alternative i jus think of .....

u can grab some alu strips .... [cost shld be cheap), jus need to cut to desire size and drill holes to mount the 'star' ....

remember to apply some thermal grease :thumbsup:

Ive recently been working on a project similar to this, and we used 50mm x 50mm aluminium squares stuck on a base plate aluminium square.
