Hey everyone, this is my first thread. I'm looking for a very good EDC light. I need some help picking. I'm currently looking at the Nitecore EX10. Any suggestions? Thanks. :help:

For some people a tiny 1xAAA light is perfect for EDC. For others a 2xCR123 or larger is the perfect EDC.
You are going to have to give people more to go on before they can give you any worthwhile feedback.
What do you like about the EX10? Is there anything you don't think you like?
BTW: Try searching around for awhile, EDC is a popular topic.
Ok thanks. I like the piston switch and how its 1 CR123/ RCR123. I dont like how its the older CREE XP-E R2 though. I think I'll also like 2 CR 123 lights too. have any suggestions?
You mean a 2xCR123 light?
I'm bias but the Quark 123^2 is as up-to-date as you'll get with the XP-G R5 and I really like mine.
Though moonlight mode doesn't work so I am about to ship the head back for a new one.
COAST: please fill in the Flashlight Recommendation Checklist and either edit your post #1 or just post in a reply so that we have more information, as was stated, ultimate means an infinite number of possibilities to an infinite number of people (ok, i'm exaggerating) but help us to help you by letting us understand YOUR definition of the ultimate EDC flashlight.
Personally i EDC an EX10 GDP and i'm very happy with it, my backup light is a Quark Mini 123 neutral white on my keys and i have a Surefire Aviator A2 in my bag. I have no problems with the piston on the EX10, i cleaned off all the lube and re-lubricated using Break Free lubricant and the piston is now silky smooth and doesnt stick at all.
i was going to suggest the basic Ra clicky at 140 lumens with the narrow beam pattern but that was $139. But it is an extremely durable light if that is important to you. You can see their range of products here. Apart from that, doesnt your nitecore EX10 already satisfy your list of requirements?
ok, dumb ole me, how can we be flashaholics with only ONE light
the Quark range from 4sevens seems to suit your needs as well, you could get the tactical 123 and get the 2x123 tubes or any combination of lego-ing that you like. There's a discount code "CPF8" that you can use when checking out.
