I see quite a number of people using 8x7135 driver to power a multi-die emitter, driving it to 2.8A, but only using one li-ion cell.
So my question is, how well regulated is this driver when used together with one IMR 18650? How long can it keep a stable 2.8A current ? Can the driver still provide 2.8A when the cell is 3.7 volts?
I have a few 3x7135 and 4x7135 DIY XP-G lights, and I know the more 7135 chips you add the harder it will be to maintain flat regulation, but I have no experience with IMR cells.
Extra question: What about direct driving an SST-90 with an IMR18650? What current will it feed to the LED at 3.6 volts?
