Hi all,

I've just registered on this forum and please forgive me if I am posting this in a wrong section...

I bought such flashlight with remote switch set. The switch itself is here.

I don't know how can I disassemble the tailcap switch in order to install my remote switch.... When I take the tailcap off I see a thread and a plate with two round "dents" on this plate. Do I need some special type of a wrench to open it further ?

Thanks in advance,
Wojtek

I think the more appropriate forum would be the one called "Homemade and Modified Flashlights Discussion". However, until a moderator moves it, here is my 2 cents worth:

- It would be good to show pictures of the stuff you are seeing inside the switch - hard to tell from words alone.

- the plate with the two dents is likely to be a retaining collar. If it is, you can try turning it with long nose pliers.

Good luck,
Will

Did you ever get this figured out? If you now know what you were asking, it would be nice if you shared your findings with us, and educated the rest of us. Maybe even a photographic essay. If not, I hope we can watch the effort as other dialog so we can pick up on the same thing.
