Hey guys I am looking to get a IR Illuminator. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I am willing to buy a retail light but... I always like getting a good modded light as well. Does anyone know what good Light host plus emitter options would work. I would prefer a single emitter setup. I would like a good mix of throw and flood. The throw I would like for it to be able to reach maybe 100 meter or the length of a long hallway. I would also like a god amount of flood/spill to say search a large industrial plant or warehouse.
These are the two ideas I have been kicking around let me know what you think or would change or if you think it should go a whole new direction. I was thinking either real small like a EX10 with a modded circuit to drive at 900+ma and a 1 or 3 watt IR LED. My second though was a little bigger but with this setup I could easily mount it on my AR next to my other light. I was thinking a Olight M20 with a 3 or 5 watt IR LED and it would be mounted right next to my other M20 and both would have pressure switches.
