I just found this two pack at Home Depot for less than $5 for both lights. No, it doesn't look anywhere near 160 lumens. Compared to a Fenix P2D, it has less apparent light than the second (55 lumen) setting, so I would guess closer to 30 - 40 lumens, but hard to tell due to the larger central spot, which spreads out the light better, but has less spill light in the penumbra (so perhaps I am under-rating the light, but it is clearly not 160 lumens). This applies to both of the lights included. The laser/light is NOT sufficiently robust for use as a weapons light, unless it is for a BB gun....
The long 3-AAA light appears to have been designed for larger cells from the diameter (I pressed out the plastic sleeve, and AAs were very loose, and of course too long, but not enough diameter for a CR123). It has a blue tint rather than the yellow-green hue of the Fenix. The shorter, fatter 3-AAA light has a more neutral / less blue beam and a slightly broader, more useful spot. The short one would make a very useful work light, although I would prefer people design for a more practical single AA (as with the Fenix L1D) than 3-AAA.
Okay, it does not live up to it's hype, but for 2 lights with (cheap) Eveready SHD batteries for $5, I gotta say this is the best $5 I've ever spent. I bought several to give away. At $2.50 each for a decent-looking machined aluminum light, I am hard pressed to say anything negative about them, but no, they are not the equal of a Fenix that costs 20 times more. (Duh!) And these even include batteries. I bought the last 3 packs on the rack, and will buy a lot more to give away if I can find them. The laser version should not be given to kids or anyone who is not a flashlight nerd, as a single click to turn off turns on the laser, and the third click is both the laser and light, so it will get left on by people not use to this, and it takes a full click rather than the half-push of a Fenix. This will be annoying to most casual users. Techno-geeks will love it. The short fat one will make an excellent light for the glove compartment or tool box -- places you don't want to leave an expensive light like the Fenix. And way cheaper if you lose it or ding it.
If you go to Home Depot, you should also look for a tiny headlight which says "20 Lumens", which is also 2 for $5 and includes 2 - 2032 batteries for each light. This is a very impressive headlamp for $2.50 each, less than the cost of the included Eveready batteries. The light is small enough that you can actually put it between your eyes for great lighting of tight spaces (I was doing some plumbing repair, and it was outstanding, and at $2.50, it is so cheap that I gave one away to the plumber who did some of the work, and he went a bit easier on the bill, realizing how useful this is in a tight *spot where you need a third hand and still can't get the light aimed right....).
Buy 'em all, and stuff some stockings at Xmas -- most people can use an extra emergency light in the car, and two of these three are excellent emergency lights. Beware of some of the other offerings at Home Depot, as some of the headlamps are rated at 4 lumens, and others have no rating indicated. Also, lots of interesting $5 tool sets that are great stocking-stuffer values, especially the interchangeable jewelers screwdriver set with 20 different bits.....
