Is the KL5A overpriced? (compared to KL3)

KL3 vs. KL5:
- same housing
- same electronics (maybe slightly different drive current)

- reflector vs optics
- lux3 vs. ssc P4

what makes the KL5A more than twice the price of an KL3? The differences i listed cant be the reason. I asume its the 'more lumens - more bucks' formula...

Perhaps SureFire re-released the KL5 as the KL5A with the updated LED so that there was something in that position in their range. The alternative being nothing to replace the KL5 because the KX5 was shelved.

Perhaps those demanding an LED bezel for the likes of the M2/C2/M95, and needed higher output for longer than the P60L can provide, perhaps those customers are less concerned with the price. There is nothing forcing the price down so SureFire left the price as the KL5 was - I doubt the demand for the KL5(A) is that intense.
