On the surface it doesn't look too bad. It can charge up to 8 AA cells at a time at about 1000 mA per cell, or 4 C/D cells at a time at about 1250 mA per cell. On top of that it has a discharge function and the price is not excessive. Could be worth trying out.
- Again, **WHAT** charger?is this charger worth messing with?
Yes!is this charger worth messing with?
hmmm what do the users say ?sounds like a real winner, plus it isnt a single channel charger according to the users.
- "...often overheats the batteries melting off the plastic labels on the batteries..."
.- "...get a good one so you don't BURN DOWN YOUR HOUSE...peels off the covering on the battery it gets so hot..."
we dont need no stinking labels
Do you own any rechargeable:...guess i'll spend the extra $20 and get a c9000.
IMO, you need to evaluate the SOURCE of the review. IME, I find *MANY* reviews on 'Non-Technical' sites tend to review based on EMOTION (ONE STAR - the UPS driver LEFT the ripped-open package on my porch!) / lack-of-understanding rather than actual experience.
i.e. HIGH INTERNAL RESISTANCE (non-vibrant / unhealthy / inexpensive / CHEAP / badly-treated / neglected / CRAP) cells charged at HIGH CURRENT *ARE* always going to OVERHEAT!
