SO... I got the 14500 batteries for my jet yesterday and when I put them in I really couldn't tell a difference from my AA. There should be a really noticeable difference right? I kept on switching batteries back and forth, and I even took pictures of both.....virtually no difference.

I'm using tenergy 2600 and ultrafire 14500 batteries. I also have a craftsman multimeter but honestly don't know how to use it, so if you will tell me how I will check the voltage and ma. someone please help.
Thanks!

Mine shows a very big difference. It is rated at 130lm max on nimh and 225lm max on 14500. Do you have it set to max brightness?
Try it out in a small dark room with no windows and do a ceiling bounce with each battery. This will show you the difference better.

Probably you're still on default levels which are similar. Recharge batteries and set IBS on max using them. You'll see the difference. If not get a replacement.

Thanks, I reset it to max each time I switched the batteries an still no difference. I guess I am lucky I bought it from BOG so I can easily get a replacement.

Well its not THAT hard, its made for 14500s :p. I have the newer black AW protected 14500s and they usually go in fine. Sometimes if the spring doesn't coil up right it gets tight but i just loosen and retighten.

BTW comparing Eneloops to AW14500... seems fairly similar on lower levels, maybe if I had two lights next to eachother I could pick it out easier... but on high levels the 14500 is much brighter.

Send it back to us and we'll take a look at it for you. We'll have it (or a replacement) on its way back to you within 24 hours.

Hi i just sent you an email, but I'll post here too. Do I need to send it back in the original box, also I have 4 14500 batteries and they all are the same.

Edit:Wow talk about great customer service, I send an e-mail and few seconds later, literally, I get a response.

Can anyone post pictures of the difference using the same shot settings?
My stock RC-M4 and RC-F4s' are definitely brighter than it using the 14500 batteries, that shouldn't be right, right? I just want to be sure before I pay to have it shipped off in the morning. Thanks.

Jet 1 MK IBS Please Can Someone Test This?

Could someone please do a test with their light and report back in this thread.

When this light is in the "Standby signal mode", does it flash once every 8 seconds?

Mine flashes once every 5 seconds.
I'm not sure if mine is faulty or not.

Thanks,

-Mike V.

Mine is about 5-6 seconds. Definitely not faulty. All my HDS/Novatac lights are programmed for locator flash and all the times vary.

Anyone have any idea of runtimes in locator mode? I'd guess many weeks, but am not going to put the light down for that long!
