Jet I Pro (R2) vs. Jet I Pro I.B.S. (Q5)

I've searched and looked but can find no comparison of these 2 lights. The IBS pill was offered as an 'upgrade' for R2 owners and I'm wondering if the only upgrade is the UI. Does the output of the IBS match the R2 light? If this has been talked about somewhere, could someone kindly point me in the right direction.

UI and output on 14500. With single Li-Ion it's crazy bright.

The difference in output between the Q5 and R2 emitters is only ~7%, which is not enough to discern a difference by eye, they'd be equally as bright short of scientific measurement. I'd wager the IBS interface probably wouldn't affect the output since its max output setting is so remarkably high. But I'd wait for a response from BOG..

The swap is from R2 to Q5.
IBS is not only interface but also driver circuit which pushes led very hard with single Li-Ion. Harder than original with R2 emitter. That's why Q5 IBS is brighter.

In comparing the two side by side I would say the Q5 edges out in brightness overall. But since they are very close I'd consider it a draw.
