Oh my gosh.. the Fenix E01 is really bright at 10 lumens! I read a lot of posts here about 80 lumen plus lights but, the 10 lumens really suprised me. I thought I was going to get a real under powered light but, it is more than I expected & enough for my needs. I understand the Tactical aspect however, for an EDC light this one is perfect. Thanks 4Sevens!:twothumbs

when its dark, you will be surprised how bright a "low output" light really is.

i still have a single 5mm AA light that i use around the house when all the lights are off. and seriously, i am afraid that its too bright and might wake my wife up sometimes!

i used to have one, in black, until my sister saw it,and almost stole from me (kidding.she insisted so bad that finally i gave it to her).i thought to myself about how many lights i got,and that i didn´t need another one, right??

wrong!!.kinda missed that blue light.ordered one in olive like 3 weeks ago.cheap bomb-proof little tank.you can always relay on it.
actually carring it arround my neck all the time, and for sure the light i use most.

I really wish they made one in Red to preserve night vision. I would buy one in a minute. This light is so bright it kind of knocks your night vision out but, I love it!

Get the quark with .2 lumen moonlight

In the day you can't even see it

With night vision it lights up the whole room'

I love it

The E01 is like the official layman's EDC imo.

If Fenix ever puts out a Red Led I am all over it like a cheap suit..! I am vey impressed from what I got. Great light for the money & no regrets!

Just got mine a couple days ago. It's my official backup EDC. I showered with it today on tailstand mode to simulate a power outage (I'm normal! Don't judge!) and it worked great.

I'm kinda surprised that it doesn't have a lens. I dropped it in a bucket full of water while it was on and it worked like a champ.

Thought it would have a blue/purple hue to the beamshot. The hotspot is *slightly* blue, but barely. The beam overall is pretty cool white and usable.

got my E01 about 2 years back, mine has a purplish tint to it, especially noticeable at close range but in real world use it doesnt matter. It is togh as nails and a great little light, i don't EDC it right now, it's hanging off a hook on the headboard of my bed for night use so i wont wake the missus.

Hmmmm, seems like later generations may have fixed the purple tint slightly, great! an excuse to buy another E01

When I got my e01 I was so excited that I didn't notice that there was no glass panel in front of the led. Now that I'm sober from my excitement, I noticed that I could touch the led with my finger as there was nothing in front of it. Is your e01 also like this? Do you reckon I could get a warranty replacement for this as it was just purchased less than a month ago? Thanks.

Thanks a lot. Another description that they forgot to put onto their site. E01 doesn't have a lens.

Good light choice, ragweed. Try experimenting with plastic caps for turning that beam red or orange. The plastic plug protectors on new lamps are sometimes perfect for this use.

My EO1 is my evening EDC,it hangs around my neck on a lanyard and used for going to the bathroom and kitchen without having to switch the tubed lighting on.If I am spending longer in the kitchen I have one of those 30 led lites as a mood type lite and in the bathroom a 7 led mood lite.
