Though I already have five Surefire's, dozens of M@gs (all with led upgrades of some sort), a few Streamlights, and a bunch of others....I really wanted to try a Cree throw monster and liked the idea of the reflector and switch choices of the D-Mini over the Fenix lights. I especially liked the idea of the high/low switch of the D over the many (and unneeded) levels on the Fenix lights.

So like any good flashaholic, I finally added the D to my collection. Ordered it with the AIO kit and in the HA-III finish. Got to play with it for a few minutes last night and can tell already it will be a favorite of mine and I will actually use it. The throw on it is absolutely awesome....have not tried the OP reflector yet...I am so in love with the throw I may not try the OP for a while. I put in the GID boot and the two stage switch.....awesome!!!!

This light will go into my EDC Maxpedition Jumbo Versapak right next to my U2 which I never leave home without. Oh and in my front left pocket I always have my Civictor....always!!! My three favorites.....for now....:naughty:

Wondering what the spot diameter is at say ten feet from a target

Newb Question.

How does the Two Stage Switch work? Is it like the Amilite T5 where its one click for low, click agian for high and click a 3rd time for off? There is no "twisting" at all needed, unlike the Fenix offerings correct?

Thanks

FYI....got mine at Battery Junction....shipped next day and into my hands in four.

 This looks like a great light.

The idea of a 1x123 light with great throw is very appealing...

I have not been able to find a listing anywhere in regards to the output in lumens. It also does not appear to have been reviewed by Quickbeam in his flashlightreviews.com, so there is also no frame of reference for Lux readings. Any help here?

Look here. About the same as a P1D CE, 110 lumens.

I am thinking the D-Mini cree beam is similar to the streamlight TL-2 but about 3 times the output so should throw about 3/4 again as far

wow, 110 lumens. Does anyone know what the run time is? The surefire L4 is rated at at 100 lumens and 1 hour with 2-CR123. How does this one compare with only 1 CR123.

BTW, I just recevied my Lumapower M1 and love it. It out throws my U2 with the OP reflector. I realy like the beam on it. The U2 appears more like a wall of light in a side by side comparison.
