I read in another thread about an individual wanting something to carry extra 123's for his light, and he was referred to these. They look very good because all I have is the round Surefire brand ones, which I like as well, but they are bulky.

The question I have about this type of carrier is this. Will it hurt in anyway like, reducing the capacity of the batteries, or shorting them out somehow by being carried in a row, like they are in a tube?

That should not be any problem. There is no completed circuit so no current is being drawn. It's like having a couple batteries in a flashlight with the switch off.

I own several (approx. 12) of the yellow top Keep2Go tubes from Lighthound, and they're just about a perfect fit for 3x123's with very little rattle. Haven't experienced any problems with conductivity as it's already been said that there is no completed circuit to drain cells. IMO though, they're a bit large for only holding 3 cells, but they're also just about bullet proof too. Since then, I've actually switched to a Pelican 1010 for holding 15 primaries w/foam insert, and use my Keep2Go tubes to store goodies in my B.O.B., like Nyogel, collapsable gun cleaning kit, and other stuff.

Hi NotRegulated,
I think there are 3 different sizes. I've got the ones from 4Sevens and 2x 18650 are a neat fit.

Thanks for the follow up 1 what.
I got mine from the Fenix-Store. I am happy with them for my 123's but initially was disappointed when I tried to drop in my 18650's and they wouldn't fit. I will check into 4Sevens tube.

Thanks for the clarification. Mine are clear tubes.

I went to 4Sevens site yesterday and noticed the different colors but there is no mention that any of the tubes for sale hold 18650's. They only mention 123's.

I've been looking for a storage solution for two 18650's.

Ask to 4sevens himself. If I remember, the blue ones could all accept two 18650. I have a green one and a blue one and the blue will accept them, the green won't. For carrying CR123A in a backpack I really like them but they are a little bulky.
