I like to carry a light that will work as a fistload while travelling late at night. The Inova X5 was exactly right in every respect physically, but I'd like a Cree based light with a dimmer.
I'm considering the Huntlight and the 2AA Fenix and I'd be interested in hearing how tough these are built (I know the Fenix isn't out yet, but I think we can assume that it is going to be built like previous models..?) Btw - is the 2.5 cm diameter for the Huntlight main tube or the head?
Right now I have a JetBeam II. It's a nice light source, but the construction is too light for my tastes - possibly even while not being used as an impact weapon. I'd certainly worry that it might give way where the two AA tubes screws together in the middle if I was to hammerfist someone hard.
Or do people have any other suggestions?
