L1 battery Concerns

I have a L1 on the way that I'm incredibly excited about, more than words can describe. however I'm a tad bit concerned with the cost of upkeep.

leftover from my Luma Hunter M1 I have some rechargeable ultrafire 3.7 V protected cr123a(?) cells that read "16340 880mAh 3.6V Li-ion"

I do not want to fry this light.... are my batteries compatible?

In any case none of the RCR123 I have fit into my L1's body so personally I am condemned to primaries. :sigh:
