L1D CE can I use old L2P bodies?

Like the title says, I just ordered a L1D CE, plan on powering it with 2700mAh NiMH cell. I have a few old L2P bodies - can they be used with the L1D head - I don't care about the turbo mode - (rotating the head).

Sorry, threads don't match. You'll have to buy the L2D 2AA tube...
